I am very, very new to the world of video (I only learned what aperture was three days ago!) and as such I'm a bit confused by all the jargon I find when I look up the camera. I saw that a used canon rebel t3i and kit lens are on sale for a price I can afford (500 USD is my total budget), and I'm wondering if it, along with lights, a microphone, and a recording device for voiceovers (all of which I also plan to buy) would get the job done. To use examples, I'd like to make videos like the ones on these channels: 1 2 3. The videos I'm thinking of making largely consist of one person indoors in a quiet space talking in front of a camera, along with clips from whatever media they're discussing with voiceovers. I want to make youtube review videos/analyses of pop culture and media. Recently I've been thinking that I want to make a youtube channel.
